Dr. Brian Neil Lewis is currently a Family Medicine physician with the Phoebe Inpatient Medicine Specialists, joining the group in July 2010.

Dr. Lewis graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Xavier University of Louisiana in May 2002. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in May 2007.

Dr. Lewis completed his residency from 2007-2010 as the Chief Resident of Family Medicine at Southwest Georgia Family Medicine Residency which is affiliated with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

In 2004, Dr. Lewis served as a medical volunteer with Medical Campus Outreach in Nairobi, Kenya. During this time, he was involved with setting up rural clinics, diagnosing and treating medical problems, and providing HIV testing in rural Kenya.


Phoebe does not currently conduct or support studies involving prisoners, children, pregnant women, human fetuses or neonates.
