Phoebe Sumter Medical Center
Americus, GA (December 16, 2012) – Phoebe Sumter Medical Center had its annual Coat Drive for the past few weeks and once again it was a huge success.
“We were able to collect hundreds of coats, sweaters, jackets, scarves and other type of clothing,” said Marcus Johnson, Phoebe Sumter’s Director of Marketing & PR. “Our employees really believe in helping others and giving back, and this was a chance for them to donate to people that are in need and live in our community.”
In addition to employees, Johnson said guests and visitors also donated to the drive. “We know how generous our community is, and we are glad that we were able to help contribute to such a worthy cause. The items will be taken to the local Salvation Army so that those who are in need will be able to go there and find clothing for the winter.”
