Phoebe Worth named business of the year

SYLVESTER, GA-

PhoebeWorth Medical Center in Sylvester is Worth County's business of the year.

More than 200 members of the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce were eligible for the award.

Members voted for the winner.

Chamber leaders say Phoebe Worth won because of their stellar service to the community.

"Phoebe Worth participates in just about everything that we do in the community," said Karen Rackley with the Sylvester-Worth Chamber of Commerce. "We are extremely excited to have them as our business of the year. And we think that it is an honor that our businesses thought that they deserved it this year also."

Phoebe Worth officially began operations in 2002.

They have 238 employees.
