Golden Key Day Trips and Travel

Social Security

Date: Saturday, May 31
Destination: Jacksonville, FL
Event: One-day trip
Deadline: Friday, April 4

On Saturday, May 31, Golden Key members are headed for Alhambra Theatre & Dining’s production of “Social Security” starring Barbara Eden.

The trip to Jacksonville, FL departs at 7:30 a.m. from Phoebe Northwest, 2336 Dawson Road, and arrives in time to enjoy an excellent lunch before curtain up at 1:15 p.m.

“Social Security” is a hilarious comedy by Andrew Bergman. It focuses on trendy Manhattan art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn, whose chic and sophisticated life is turned upside down when her housewife sister deposits their eccentric mother on the couple’s doorstep. The comic sparks fully ignite when Barbara and David introduce her mother to a nonagenarian artist who offers to paint her portrait and to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years.

While Ms. Eden has starred on stage and screen, she is perhaps best known as Jeannie in NBC’s comedy “I Dream of Jeannie.”

When the curtain goes down at 4 p.m., we’ll travel back to Albany arriving at Phoebe Northwest at 8:30 p.m.

Cost for per person is $110 for Golden Key members and $125 for nonmembers. The price includes charter motor coach transportation, lunch and show and Alhambra, a box supper to enjoy on the trip home, and all gratuities. Sign-up deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 4.

Atlanta Braves Vs Miami Marlins

Date: Wednesday, April 23
Destination: Atlanta, GA
Event: One-day trip
Deadline: Friday, March 21

Golden Key members are joining the Atlanta Braves when they take on the Miami Marlins, Wednesday, April 23, at Turner Field.

Our charter motor coach leaves Phoebe Northwest at 7:30 a.m. and arrives at the stadium in time for an 11:30 a.m. lunch. We’ll be sitting on the Terrace level, left of home plate, which gives us an excellent view of the game. This heated/air-conditioned section (same level as the Press Box) has special food vendors not found in other areas of the stadium and each ticket has a $10 coupon for lunch that can be used at the ballpark.

Once the Braves win, we’ll return directly to Phoebe Northwest – arriving at 7 p.m. We will not be stopping for an evening meal before our return.

Cost for the trip is $90 per person for Golden Key members and $115 for nonmembers age 30 or over. The price includes charter motor coach transportation, ticket into the game and gratuity for drivers. Sign-up deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, March 21.
