Phoebe Putney Health System is a network of hospitals, family medicine clinics, rehab facilities, auxiliary services, and medical education training facilities. Founded in 1911, Phoebe is one of Georgia's largest comprehensive regional medical centers.
From the beginning, Phoebe's goal has been to bring the finest medical talent and technology to the citizens of Southwest Georgia, and to serve all citizens of the community regardless of ability to pay.
The more than 300 affiliated doctors and 3,800 professional staff form a unique partnership to deliver world-class healing and prevention to our community.
The flagship hospital Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is a 443-bed teaching hospital and a regional center for cancer and cardiac medicine. The Phoebe Cancer Center is one of the busiest and most advanced in the Southeast. The Phoebe Heart Center performs more open-heart and cardiac catheterization procedures than all other hospitals in the region combined. Phoebe is one of only six designated perinatal centers in the state of Georgia and is the regions only provider of neonatal intensive care, cardiovascular surgery and radiation oncology services.
At Phoebe, we combine the innovation of a progressive healthcare system with personalized care that comes from being responsive to the needs of the people throughout the region. We offer medical-surgical care, emergency treatment, cardiac surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, wound care, hospital-based substance abuse care, a women's health center and much more.
