SurgiCare Outpatient Surgery

Using today's surgical techniques, it's possible for patients to have a wide variety of surgical procedures performed in a hospital operating room setting and then return home on the same day.

Outpatient surgery offers two major advantages to patients:

• Comfort: Patients can recuperate in the comfort and privacy of their own home, which most find to be
  more comfortable and pleasant.
• Cost: Because there is no hospitalization involved, the cost of outpatient
  surgery is lower than traditional surgery involving a hospital stay.

Located on the second floor of Medical Tower I, Surgicare provides a separate waiting area for family members, and 21 recovery rooms where family members can be with patients after their surgery prior to leaving the hospital.

Patients coming to Phoebe's Surgicare center for outpatient surgery are prepped for surgery and receive education and instruction in the Surgicare center. However, the surgery procedures are performed in the same operating rooms - with the same experienced team - as inpatient surgery at Phoebe.

And this state-of-the-art surgery center is where outpatient surgery at Phoebe is performed.
