Did You Know? Grieving is a normal part of coping with life events. The feelings you have are common reactions to loss -- for example, to the death of someone close to you, says the National Mental Health Association. At first, you may feel numb, but afterward you may experience many of these emotions: denial, disbelief, confusion, shock, sadness, anger and guilt. Although the intensity of your emotions may surprise you, allowing yourself to grieve will help you deal with your loss.
Sometimes being a kid isn't easy. Children can develop depression, have fears and anxieties, and grieve, just like grownups.
Adolescence can be a volatile time in life, with personal problems providing the flashpoint.
