Preventing Mold

Mold in your home can cause allergic reactions and a worsening of asthma symptoms. To prevent mold growth, follow these tips from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences: Reduce humidity with air conditioners, dehumidifiers and fans. Remove decaying debris from the yard, roof and gutters. Vent bathrooms and dryers. Fix any water leaks immediately.
