Darrell Sabbs’ work in Albany is essential, and now it has caught the attention of officials in the federal government.

On Thursday, Sabbs will be in Washington, D.C., where he will talk about the model fatherhood program he operates for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he serves as the hospital’s benefits coordinator.

 

The unique aspect of the Phoebe program is two-fold. First, it doesn’t just target fathers in attempting to impress on them the importance of their roles in their children’s lives and their responsibilities toward their children. It targets teenage fathers.
